After a car accident that leaves them all unconscious, a group of high school friends awaken in a shuttered school they once previously attended.

Nao Takashima visits a former girl's high school for a photography shoot at an abandoned school. Under the supervision of up-and-coming photographer Shunichi Tobita. The shoot goes smoothly, but Nao senses a dark presence in the school building, which is supposed to be empty except for the film crew. One by one, the staff members disappear, and Nao and Tobita, using a girl caught on camera as a clue, begin to look back into the past. When they reach a sealed door, they discover a sad past that must never be revealed.

From 1987 to 2009 four of the six secondary schools and five of the twelve primary schools on the plains of Marion, South Australia were closed due to changing demographics and the Education Department rationalising its services. To commemorate these schools Marion Historical Society mounted The Closed Schools of Marion exhibition. Over two afternoons of the exhibition 17 people were interviewed about their memories of these schools. Along with scanned photographs and artefacts the interviews were edited into The Closed Schools of Marion - an hour long documentary full of heart felt memories and many humorous anecdotes. Thousands of people were a part of The Closed Schools of Marion and these interviews just scratch the surface of the collective memories of these schools. The Closed Schools of Marion was singled out by History SA senior curator as the highlight of the 51 projects funded by History SA in 2011.

The Krewe du Exploration travels to Mississippi, where they discover an old elementary school hidden among the trees. Believed to have been abandoned since the 1980s, the building holds little trace of its history, but inside, they uncover a variety of intriguing remnants from its past.
