Boruto and the others continue to watch Jugo as he saves the infected birds while giving him his tranquilizers to suppress the Curse Mark. But when Jugo transforms again, they find the tranquilizers have disappeared.
Sumire is searching for her team when she is suddenly confronted by Suigetsu and Karin, who are looking for Jugo. When they are met with Boruto's group, they make a plan to find Jugo when they become suspicious of the Land of Rivers team.
Boruto and Suigetsu find Jugo's location, but they're tranquilized and are unable to move. Meanwhile, Sarada and Karin, and Sumire's group fight the twins that are using the power of the Curse Mark.
Boruto chases after Jugo, who is undergoing his Curse Mark transformation. Tosaka finds them and wants to test the strength of his Curse Mark against Jugo. Meanwhile, Sarada and Karin begin to gather the infected birds before they migrate.
Team 7 has a mission to help the police catch a jewel thief, but they lose track of them. After the mission, they find a lost kitten and it's decided that Mitsuki will look after it.
Mirai has a mission to be an escort for Kakashi and Guy outside of the village. However, what she initially believes to be a super important mission is actually just a mission to guard Kakashi and Guy while they take a vacation.
Mitsuki goes to Orochimaru when he starts to not feel well due to him having recurring dreams. Orochimaru and Log look into his memories to decipher what the problem might be.
While Mirai and the others are relaxing at a hot spring inn, Guy freaks out, claiming to have seen a ghost. There have also been strange occurrences happening around the inn and Mirai decides to investigate.
Mirai's group, along with Tatsumi, travels to a village that has a secret hot spring. Unfortunately when they arrive it is being blocked by a giant bolder. Choji happens to appear and can help, but first needs food to get his energy back.
Mirai helps Tatsumi search for a hot spring that allows people to talk to the dead so that she may see her mother again. Mirai has hope that, if it truly exists, she may be able to speak with her late father, Asuma, for the first time.
Mirai and the other girls begin to undergo the ritual to see their deceased loved ones again. But as the ritual continues, Mirai begins to sense something amiss.
With Shikadai as a newly promoted chunin, he is assigned as captain for a team consisting of Boruto, Iwabe, and Wasabi. They are given a mission to locate a rare flower that blooms once every few years before thieves come to steal it.
Boruto and some of his friends have begun collecting Extreme Ninja Cards, a very popular card game that features famous ninja from history. When they realize there are no cards of Shino and Rock Lee, they fight over who should have a card.
Konohamaru saves a woman named Remon as she's being chased by a group of people in the village. For her to continue her sightseeing in peace, Konohamaru and Boruto act as her bodyguards.
Konohamaru and Boruto find Remon's home only to be treated coldly by her. They discover that she is a fiancée to a man named Kankitsu. They sense something amiss with the situation and return to Remon later in the night to question her.
Konohamaru and Boruto spy on Kankitsu to see if they find anything suspicious about him. Konohamaru is caught and forced to go back to the Leaf Village. Boruto follows Kankitsu and Asaki as they enter the shrine that holds the Soma.
Konohamaru and Boruto rush to Remon's village to rescue her. But when they arrive at the wedding, the Soma's seal has been broken, allowing it to be resurrected and once again attack people.
When Boruto sees Sasuke's hawk sending a message to the Hokage's office, Boruto discovers from the message that he is located at an area in the Land of Wind. Eager to continue his training, Boruto sneaks out of the village to find Sasuke.
After Sasuke disappears, Gaara continues to battle Urashiki, who is after the Tailed Beast, Shukaku. Gaara asks Kankuro and Shinki, along with Boruto, to take Shukaku and hide him in the Leaf Village.
Kankuro orders Boruto and Shinki to travel onward while he fends off the Otsutsuki puppets. Boruto worries about Kankuro fighting alone, but Shinki, seemingly apathetic to the situation, merely wishes to continue the mission.
As Shinki travels alone with Shukaku, he is confronted by an Otsutsuki puppet. He becomes injured from it's attack, but luckily Boruto, Shikadai and Temari arrive in time to help fight it off.
