Tanglin is a daily drama that centers on the lives of multiracial and multi-generational families - mainly the Tongs, Bhaskars, Rahmans and Lims - residents of a middle income neighborhood, in the Holland Village, Tanglin, Commonwealth area; their lives reflect the joys, trials and tribulations of everyday Singaporeans.

The story is about two good friends who grew up with genuine love for Getai culture.

A series about the legal profession in Singapore, The Pupil will give us a sneak peek into the world of lawyers and the cases they take on, cases with outcome that not only change the lives of the ordinary Singaporeans they defend, but also their own. The story revolves around Wendy Lim (Rebecca Lim), a young and idealistic Malaysian who arrives in Singapore to begin her apprenticeship at a local law firm under the tutelage of Dennis Tang (Adrian Pang). She is, however, unprepared for the journey ahead of her; not only does she has to contend with the politics within the firm but in the course of performing her duties, uncovers a dangerous plot that may eventually threaten her own life.

The Chinese Lunar New Year is around the corner, and Lin Xiao Dong (Rui En) is busy stocking up on festive goods for the store she owns with her grandfather Dong Jian Ye (Shucheng Chen). Xiao Dong is adopted by Jian Ye after her mother died in a fire. She has assumed that the latter has no kin or kith, until the appearance of a young Japanese man, Noguchi Nariyasu (Remus Kam). Together with Nariyasu, Xiao Dong looks for rest of Jian Ye's family but she soon finds out the ugly truth behind the family's estrangement. Xiao Dong is determined to help Jian Ye resolve his family issue and hopes to fulfill his wish for another portrait with his family.

An ex-policewoman and 2 housewives living in the same neighbourhood suspect their neighbour's suicide is more than meets the eye. Harris is sought out by his old friend Larry Teoh, who won two million dollars at the Renaissance Casino Resort. The Casino won't let him have his winnings because they claim he was under an Exclusion Order when he entered the Casino. Mr Teoh, whose marriage lies in ruins because of his gambling problem, hires Harris to represent him. Angela tackles an old client - Michael Allan - who, last season was in trouble with the law for evading National Service. This time, he is being taken to court by a flasher whom he caught trying to expose himself to his neighbor's daughter. While chasing Babyface and trying to catch him, Michael repeatedly punches him in the face and sits on him. Now, Babyface - having served his time - is bringing a personal injury claim against Michael, who in turn, hires Angela to represent him.

Mr Teoh and Michael Allan's cases continue in court, with Harris and Angela respectively arguing their clients' cases. Meanwhile, Wendy has returned to Roberts and Fong after a supposed 'urgent leave of absence.' She realizes there have been changes while she is gone: Nisa is now working for Shirley Wu, an old flame and nemesis of Harris', and Rachel, who has joined the firm, is causing increasing tension with Angela. Wendy runs into an old friend of hers from secondary school, Ginny Toh, who has a shocking revelation of her own. Ginny is being blackmailed by a man she has a one-night stand with on a holiday abroad. If she does not pay the man, Wayne, he is going to upload sex videos of their one-night stand.

The boys have to earn money for their trip to Malaysia to catch the Great Grand Chor Kong of all Fighting spiders, the Raja Labah Labah. They hear of a legend of hidden gold in MacRitchie and they decide to hunt for it.

The boys hatch a plan to earn money again since they didn't find any gold in their last adventure. They decide to sell snacks, like the Kacang Puteh man outside a cinema.

The boys embark on another adventure when they stumble upon a crazy old reclusive woman who lives all alone in a house. The woman wants to pay them to bury her children, who happen to be dead pigeons.

The boys attempt to raise money for their trip by renting out spiders. However, their attempts fall short when they hear of a new rival in Chinatown who is stealing their business with better spiders. Sam is the name of the rival.
