- A former New Zealand immigration officer is imprisoned in Brazil after an issue with her visitor's visa, facing the irony of being surrounded by iron bars after processing visas herself.
- Brazilian TV and Film legend José de Abreu was at the end of his vacation in NZ, as the COVID-19 pandemic exploded around the world. Well known for his outspoken political views, José is extremely vocal against the far right government currently in charge of Brazil. He is persona non grata for a few and loved by others. As he decided to stay in NZ for an undetermined time, he sat down for an intimate conversation to reflect on life, career, political views and future plans.
