Jason "Flurryfingers" Redman is an ambitious fighter who gets his chance to fight professionally in an underground fight circuit called "The Midway Rumble", thanks to his sparring partner Nat Daddy. But soon he'll realize what kind of characters he'll be facing when he takes on Freak E. Deke, an energy drink-loving hyper guy who is willing to bend the rules to get a win.

Kevin Taylor has always relied only on himself to get the job done ever since he became Ryton's vigilante, Mr. Happy. No matter how many bruises he gets during a fight or how many bones get fractured, Mr. Happy still finds a way to endure. However, the resurgence of rival Dr. Archibald Nemy, plus the arrival of a new villain, Voodoo, will challenge not only Taylor's body but his mind and even put his friends, James and Mike in danger. When the unthinkable happens, Taylor is pushed to the point where he might need to accept that this is one villain he can't face alone, leading to the birth of Mr. Happy's new sidekick.
