- The protagonists are the inhabitants of Zaciszna Street in Warsaw. Some of them have known each other for years, some have just moved to the "Pod Sosnami" estate. The younger ones look for their way, the older ones try to find themselves in the new reality. For many years, viewers have been following the fate of the Marczak, Pyrka, Grzelak, Górka Cieslak, Zwolenski and Walawski families. Worries, troubles, controversies, life problems, dramas - it all adds up to the reality of the series' characters. There are many difficult topics, such as the problem of social and racial tolerance, LGBT, infertility, domestic violence and mental diseases.
- A capable, though not flawless, Commissioner Olgierd Halski wages a relentless fight with the Warsaw gangster underground. He tracks drug dealers and fights groups who are terrorising Warsaw Old Town restaurateurs. Finally, when the Russian mafia enters the criminal scene, he declares a war on it all. Consequences of the Commissioner's actions, become a danger to his personal life, in a matter of time. The beautiful and ruthless Nadezhda does everything she can to thwart Halski's unconventional, intersecting plans. However, to no avail. Drugs smuggled by the mafia are on fire. Thus, the evidence of effective police action is also disappearing. Halski, dismissed from work, appears in the ranks of the Government Protection Bureau. He quickly discovers a gigantic corruption scandal involving prominent public figures. His relatives are again in danger.

Betrayed, humiliated, disillusioned and without hope. Monika faces many problems to find the answer for a question: what is the most important thing in life? Is she able to struggle with hardships of life? How to use a second chance, which is given us by lock to find our true destiny? The series also shows scenes of show business and reveals to the audience the mechanisms governing the world.
