- The daughter of furniture colossus Paulus is found murdered on the car park. During the investigation it appears that she had a secret live of which her strict father knew nothing about. Witse's task to find the killer is hampered when father Paulus takes the rights in his own hands.
- A masseur of Sikh-origin is found dead in the beauty centre where he worked. In spite of the peaceful Ayurvedische teachings, which the centre supports, Witse soon discovers that the manageress, employees and customers have a lot of dark secrets that cannot contemplate the daylight.

Pascale, an ex-prostitute, takes loving care of him.
- In Dams his street two bodies are found. It seems like a murder and a suicide. The teenagers David and Katrijn saw how their father shot their mother and then committed suicide. But during the investigation it appears that Katrijn had been send to a rehabilitation centre by her parents and that there were no considerable tensions in the family. As in the house of tragedy a burglar, Joeri, gets caught, he appears to be a friend of Katrijn from the centre.
- Witse is asked for help by a prostitute who was an informant for him when he working in Brussels. She feels threatened. After a confrontation with two heavies who were after her, Witse takes her to a little hotel to hide out. But the next morning he awakes with a serious hangover and the prostitute lies shot in the bathroom. Witse is prime suspect.
- A rough motorcycle rider, 'Bobby McGee', comes to live in Witse's neighbourhood. Bobby takes care of his mentally handicapped nephew Ludo, because his mother lies deadly ill in hospital. The neighbourhood committee, under leadership of Modest Kuypers, complains to Witse about the newcomer. But he seems ok. That is, until Ludo gets shot dead one night.

Meanwhile Keysers from the Brussels department finds the murder weapon in a full garbage container and uses it as a lure to get the killer.
- Witse, still on the run for the police, tries to find the spider in the web. Unfortunately for him, his enemy is always one step ahead of him. Witse gets dragged into a deathly cat and mouse game, which can cost him everything that is dear to him.
- A young juggler is found strangled in his garden shed. His mother is a member of The Children Of God. This very strict catholic splinter movement is being lead by a charismatic priest, who helps Witse in every way he can with the case. But The Children Of God are not at the end of their tribulation yet; soon a second victim falls in their community.
- A enjoyable little dinner with Annemie Nachtegaele gets interrupted abruptly when Witse gets called away because of an attack on Van Deun. He is found heavily wounded in his car, with next to him a pair of binoculars and a camera. What was Van Deun in the middle of the night in this quiet, distinguished neighbourhood? It wasn't even his shift and it appears that he lied to everyone.

- A porter gets shot down at a dance club at Halle. A Moroccan boy, with whom he had a fight earlier that evening, is seen as the culprit. But a journalist soon puts Witse on a different trail that leads to the Brussels underworld en the politic world in Halle. And Dimi meets the girl of his life.

A small gift here, an errand there, all the little wishes are fulfilled with a smile and the gratitude is great. When one day Patrick fills up his tank at the petrol station, he witnesses a carjacking. A distinguished lady is handled rough and thrown in the back of her BMW with which two gangsters disappear.
- At a youth help centre late one night a call comes in from a boy, who stands on a bridge above the canal and threatens to kill himself. A final cry for help. When the body is dragged out of the canal, Witse learns that the boy ran away from home, had no means of existence and was in total debt. His mobile was found in the grass with a call from a girl: Loesje.
- Monica D'Arteveld and Liesbeth Tommelein end their ecumenical half-hour at 'Radio Halle Regional' and agree to meet each other the same night at seven to finish the program. From that moment it seems that Monica has vanished from the earth. She never made it to the appointment and she didn't arrive at home either. When her husband very precisely describes her car, Witse sees it to his astonishment on the car park at the Federal Bureau. The body of Monica is in the boot of the car. Down the rear-view mirror hangs a komboloï, a string of religious beads.
- A lesbian woman, Lies, gets into a fight with her friend Anja, who deceives her with a man. Later that night Lies is found drowned and electrocuted in the bath. Anja is suspect number one. But soon she becomes the victim of a burglary and a second murder attempt.
- The dead body of a missing farmer is fished out from the river. The family however reacts totally different than expected on the news. When it appears that the man is murdered and didn't drown, Witse tries to solve it. The key to the answer is to be found in the memories of the wife of the victim. Since the disappearance of her husband she apparently became demented.
