2nd Edit - I've just watched Iain Tyrrell from Tyrrell's Classic Workshop do a review of this movie on his YouTube channel (he did the review in early November 2022) - he also raises the Rolls Royce departure that I noted below using a 4 cylinder engine sound (I said Transit van to capture the diff whine element).

This guy has decades of experience engineering and recommissioning classic cars - and in fact recommissioned Lamborghini's Countach (the real one - which was white and European spec, not blue and US spec as in the movie). He delivers the review sitting in an armchair in a dressing gown right in front of the ACTUAL Ferrari that Ferruccio Lamborghini owned from 1960-1970 - the very car that sparked the complaints about the clutch!

Tyrrell also points out numerous technical gaffes made along the way - including the factory unveiling shot of the new Lamborghini V12 engine, except it's not - it's a Ferrari V12 block! Duh!!

And perhaps worst of all is the misrepresentation that F Lamborghini designed the Miura - we see him sketch it on a napkin - he didn't - he did want to build the first supercar though.

You can watch Tyrrell's review on Youtube (I can't post the link here): Iain Tyrrell exclusively reviews Lamborghini: The Man Behind The Legend - Tyrrell's Classic Workshop.

This should have been such a great movie, and its setup fooled me into thinking it would be, but ultimately they spent too much time on the back story and just when you think it's about to get interesting the credits roll.

What we end up with is quite a good historical drama, it's just that the bit we're really interested in is how the car company developed, that story starts to get interesting after the launch of the Miura - but no, we don't get to go there.

Also, Patrick Brennan the actor playing the Kiwi mechanic Bob Wallace is absolutely woeful and delivers the worst Kiwi accent I've ever had the misfortune to hear. They must've been tone deaf not to pull that up during shooting. He would've been better off sticking to his LA accent, especially as he wasn't able to be consistent with it either, so some lines with accent some without, all of which smacks of not having the appropriate production resources on hand to do a better job.

EDIT: I just read another reviewers comment about the soundtrack of the various cars and motors. I also have to agree that this was not well managed, but also the actual sounds they used displayed a real ignorance of the various models and the unique sounds of their engines. One of the worst was actually Ferrari's Rolls Royce which exited stage left with enough diff wine and muffled pipe noise to rival an old Ford Transit van with a couple of hundred thousand miles on the clock.
