I also remember this show.
The ones I remember had a segment on a new computer game that let you simulate playing the guitar (kind of like Guitar Hero but 10 years too early) and featured a kid playing Aerosmith's "Eat the Rich" along with a segment on how punk hairstyles were popular, including Mohawk and dying your hair hot pink.
Even though I was a kid at the time, I didn't really think the show was reflective of what KIDS were into. I know I wasn't getting a Mohawk or anything.
I don't think I was horribly dismayed over the show being canceled and I was rather dismissive of it even. And even when I was 11, the whole "Bing! the sound of something new" line annoyed me to no end.
