From his solo album "Blaze of Glory" which contained songs from the "Young Guns II" soundtrack, "Miracle" is one of my favorite Jon Bon
Jovi songs with a perfect reflective lyrics and a highly memorable sound and rhythm. I don't remember playing in the film (I don't think it was,
actually, and I don't see it fit for it) but it was released on that best-selling album. The clip is alright, but it doesn't reflect much of the
nature from the lyrics, the sad contradictions of the human condition, and how faith and miracles are always most needed in troubled times and
troubled situations.
Here, there's a group of bikers riding through desert highways (Jon Bon Jovi is one of them and a very young Matt LeBlanc light years from
"Friends" fame is also there being friendly and smiley to everyone) and later on they reach a Mexican smalltown where they enjoy the place, the
cultural scene as the singer begins to perform the song and Jeff Beck comes out of nowhere to play the guitar solo. It's all cool and amusing,
very high spirits and positive mood though the song paints a melancholic view of life and things but trying to lift up some good energy. A peculiar
combination but it works, nothing wrong with that. Excellent song that I never get tired of it. 8/10.
