I wasn't a big fan of Playboy's 'The Best of Pamela Anderson' because I thought there was too much fluff in between moments of her naked. This same issue plagues 'Ultimate' the second time out with the filler going into overdrive. The main presentation is almost nonstop talking with only small glances of her nude and nothing prolonged. It saves all her full scenes - the "good stuff" - for a separate bonus disc. It's all her content in one place, but everything is recycled.
They display more pictorials from her magazine appearances, modeling career and publicity shots from tv shows she did. The same interviews from 'Best' are recut to give you more words from Pam. Some minor updates in her life are touched on like the Tommy breakup and her dating Kid Rock (at the time). You get to hear a bunch more from Hef himself while Danny Bonaduce pops up a couple of times because hey of all the people you want, he's #1. Then there's multiple spots with guys on the street because again you need to know what random men in Times Square think of Pam.
Playboy produced three very popular ladies at their height and Pamela is without a doubt the biggest. In comparison to the other two - Anna Nicole Smith, Jenny McCarthy - I felt her video catalog was lacking though. You get her Playmate profile (12.5 mins). A behind the scenes look at one of her pictorials "Route 66" being shot (5.5 mins). Various B-roll from her Video Centerfold (11 mins). Her appearances in 'Sexy Lingerie II' (7 mins) highlights a lack of continuous nudity in their early 90's vids. This continues with her parts from 'Sexy Lingerie III' (5 mins). Lastly segments featuring her from 'Wet & Wild III' which imo includes her hottest scene getting wet from a pipe overhead (7 mins).
'Ultimate Pamela Anderson' is another cash-in compilation from Playboy and a lot of what you may have seen in other videos from them. It pays tribute to the lady, her life & career up until 2002 but didn't satisfy me like I wanted it to. Small snippets from vintage entertainment news shows are shown documenting Pam's rise and are a nostalgic look back at the early 90's when the closest we got to titillating content on tv as young men were these fleeting moments.
