Eddie Roberts, an assistant sociology professor at Cranepool University, is vying for tenure with triple-threat colleague Chiquita Zamora. His personal life is complicated by wife Delores, whose primary ambition in life is to be the world's first female Major League Baseball player. Meanwhile, Delores isn't pleased with Eddie's "boom, boom, bang" in the bedroom. At work, Eddie finds himself pursued by shapely biochemist Dr. Zindell, whose experimental male contraceptive drug TSU is in desperate need of a test subject.

A dissatisfied Dolores, along with her daughter Chrissy, decides to leave Eddie. Meanwhile, very unusual circumstances manage to reunite Eddie with Turner LeQuattro, a former friend from his college days, who has returned and is now a carpet salesman.

A reunited Eddie and old college buddy Turner LeQuattro spend the evening reminiscing about the good old days when they were young Turks. After her baseball team loses its playing field, Delores suddenly finds herself placed on a suspension.

An undecided Eddie feels mounting pressure to make a decision about whether or not to participate in Dr. Zindell's experimental TSU research program. Dean Knitzer ridicules Mr. Billy who phones Lydia with a new lead on his way to Irkutsk. Vivian confides in Knitzer her suspicion that Dr. Zindell suffers from Stockholm syndrome. Turner has a message from a man talking through a wool sock.

Chang Chook Dung has the hots for Dr. Zindell. Cynthia feels she has been deserted in her time of need. Tony's finances continue to be an unmitigated disaster. Gertrude is assigned a new judge, and she also gets some astounding news. Eddie and Delores are back on track in their lovemaking.
