It has been nearly a decade since Minions came out, quite literally blessing the eyes of fans of the Despicable Me franchise. Even though the film received critically mixed reviews, it is still commendable for the outstanding voice acting A-listers did for it. This voice-acting cast notably included Sandra Bullock as well, who perfectly voiced the villainous Scarlet Overkill to life.

Of course, if this respective film is put in front of her other projects, it would serve as one of her most underrated pieces, especially considering how epically she performed despite the role being a contrast to her usual roles. But the real reason why Bullock deserves to be applauded is why she decided to voice Overkill in the first place, for it was all done for the sake of her son.
