Conan Gray surprised fans this morning by announcing that his fourth album, Wishbone, will be released on August 15th. The lead single, “This Song,” is set to drop next week.

Gray shared the news in a lengthy post, revealing that he had been slowly writing new music on his own, late after shows and between tours over the past two years. “I’d come back home and write all the things I felt nobody wanted to hear,” he explained, “maybe even the things i didn’t want people to hear.

Lorde has announced “Ultrasound,” an extensive North American and European headlining tour taking place in fall 2025.

The tour kicks off on September 17th in Austin, Texas, and continues on with stops at the United Center in Chicago; Td Garden in Boston; Madison Square Garden in New York City; Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Co; Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA; and The Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA; among other prominent venues. Afterward, she’ll travel to the UK and Europe for dates running through November and December.

Tickets for Lorde’s “Ultrasound” tour will go on sale beginning Friday, May 16th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. An artist ticket pre-sale will take place on Wednesday, May 14th (fans can sign up here).

Jack Antonoff was honored as ASCAP’s pop songwriter of the year at the performing rights organization’s 2025 Pop Awards held at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles on Thursday evening.

Antonoff was recognized for his co-writes on songs like Sabrina Carpenter’s smash hit “Please Please Please,” as well as for his work on Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero,” “Fortnight,” “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” “Is It Over Now? Brat was Rolling Stone’s album of the year for 2024, and judging from what Lorde has been saying about Charli Xcx’s record, it was probably hers, too. “I’d been trying to express [myself] in this naked way, and then Brat came out, and she was kind of doing that from the other side of the coin almost,” Lorde told BBC Radio 1 on Wednesday.

The whole album became something like a revelation to the artist. “Brat coming out really gave me a kick in a lot of ways,” Lorde said.

After a three and a half year hiatus, Lorde is ready to release her upcoming new album, Virgin, confirming that the album will come out June 27th.

The two-time Grammy Award winner announced the title of her fourth studio album Wednesday alongside an image of the record’s cover art, which features a blue x-ray image showing a zipper going down a pelvis, a belt buckle and an Iud.

Lorde released the image to her Instagram and personal website, where she also promised that the album was “100% written in blood.”

Lorde has officially announced her new album: titled Virgin, it’s set for release on June 27th via Republic Records.

The project marks the New Zealand artist’s fourth album to date following 2021’s Solar Power. Speaking about Virgin in a message to fans, Lorde wrote,” The color of the album is clear. Like bathwater, windows, ice, spit. Full transparency. The language is plain and unsentimental. The sounds are the same wherever possible. I was trying to see myself, all the way through. I was trying to make a document that reflected my femininity: raw, primal, innocent, elegant, openhearted, spiritual, masculine.”

“I’m proud and scared of this album. There’s nowhere to hide. I believe that putting the deepest parts of ourselves to music is what sets us free,” she added.

In keeping with this theme, the album’s cover artwork features an X-ray scan of a pelvis with an Iud visible.

In a text blast to her fans, Lorde shared the credits for the album. It was produced by her and Jim-e Stack with contributions from Dev Hynes, Daniel Nigro, Fabiana Palladino, Andrew Aged, and Buddy Ross. “100% written in blood,” she added. While there were dozens of categories for the awards show, only a handful of them were actually given out during the live show, which took place on Monday (March 17) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Taylor Swift topped the 2024 Billboard Music Awards on Thursday night, scooping up 10 awards, the most of the night, and making history by bringing her career Bbma wins total to 49.

Swift went into the night with 17 nominations. Zach Bryan, who led the nominations list with 21 nods, won five awards.

The 2024 Billboard Music Awards aired live on Fox and Amazon’s Fire TV channels and on demand on Paramount+.

The show aired on Thursday (December 12) as a partially pre-taped and partially live event, featuring performances that happened around the world while artists were on tour.

This year, the most nominations went to Zach Bryan, who is a finalist in 18 categories with 21 total entries in the finalists list. Taylor Swift received 17 total nominations this year, coming in at second. Morgan Wallen landed in third with 15 nods.

Charli xcx made a daring fashion statement while attending Variety’s Hitmakers Brunch at Nya West on Saturday (December 7) in Los Angeles.

The 32-year-old Brat singer was honored as the Hitmaker of the Year at the event. She walked the red carpet wearing a sheer tan gown that exposed her chest.

Other honorees included the likes of Lainey Wilson, Raye and Benson Boone. Fellow stars such as Lana Del Rey and Olivia Rodrigo were also in attendance.

She’s produced and written for Anderson .Paak, Calvin Harris and Mary J. Blige, earning a 2023 Grammy nomination for album of the year for the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul’s Good Morning Gorgeous.

Now, Alissia is nominated for non-classical producer of the year at the 2025 Grammys, making her just the ninth woman in the show’s 67-year history to compete for the prize.

Chappell Roan’s hit single “Good Luck, Babe!” has officially hit the one billion mark on Spotify.

The singer shared the news on social media, noting that the song reaching that many streams was “cuckoo loco.” She added, “All I have to say is thank you ♡.”

Zach Bryan leads the 2024 Billboard Music Awards finalist list, earning 21 awards nominations including Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Hot 100 Songwriter, Top Country Artist, Top Country Male Artist, and Top Rock Artist. Taylor Swift picked up 17 nominations, and Morgan Wallen earned 15. Sabrina Carpenter scored nine while Drake, Kendrick Lamaar, Post Malone, Teddy Swims, and Tyla each earned eight.

This year, the most nominations title goes to Zach Bryan, who is a finalist in 18 categories with 21 total entries in the finalists list. Taylor Swift received 17 total nominations this year, coming in at second. Morgan Wallen landed in third with 15 nods.

Another fun fact: right now, Drake and Taylor Swift are tied for most BBMAs wins of all time at 39 each. This could change with just 1 additional win from either side!

The 2024 Billboard Music Awards have announced their finalists in 72 categories. The awards will take place on Thursday, Dec. 12, in a multi-platform event to be hosted by comedian Michelle Buteau. They will air on Fox, Fire TV Channels, and Paramount+ at 8:00pm Eastern and Pacific, with additional performances set to stream on Billboard.com and across BBMAs and Billboard social media platforms. Zach Bryan leads the list with 21 citations across 18 categories,, followed by Taylor Swift with 17 total entries in 16 categories; Swift is currently tied with Drake as the most awarded artist in BBMAs history with 39 total trophies, so she only needs to win once to stand alone in the record books. Next up, Morgan Wallen is a finalist 15 times, Sabrina Carpenter nine times, and Teddy Swims and Tyla eight times apiece.

The Billboard Music Awards are returning to television and their original home — with a twist. In a multi-distribution deal, the 2024 BBMAs will be telecast Dec. 12 at 8 Pm on Fox — where the awards show first aired in 1990 — and Amazon’s Fire TV Channels and will be available on-demand on Paramount+. The 67th Grammy Awards nominations have recognized musicians Hans Zimmer, Atticus Ross and films such as Twisters and The Color Purple with nods across multiple categories.

Zimmer is nominated for the Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media category with the Dune: Part Two (2024) soundtrack and also for the Best Song Written for Visual Media category with “Love Will Survive” from The Tattooist of Auschwitz, which he wrote with Kara Talve, Charlie Midnight and Walter Afanasieff.
