Versant, the Comcast-owned company that houses former NBCUniversal cable networks including E!, USA Network and Syfy, has unveiled its first programming slate since being split off.

A new drama for USA Network and a new reality show from Kimora Lee Simmons lead the way for the slate, which is the first under President of Entertainment Val Boreland. There will be 16 new series across E!, USA Network, Syfy, and Oxygen True Crime.

“Our audiences are among the most devoted in the industry, and their passion fuels everything we do,” said Val Boreland, President of Entertainment for Versant. “By uniting the power of our iconic brands with a commitment to bold, original storytelling, we’re deepening our connectionwith viewers in meaningful ways. Revival has its premiere date. The new supernatural drama will arrive on Syfy next month, and the network has released a trailer teasing the new series.

Melanie Scrofano, Romy Weltman, David James Elliott, and Andy McQueen star in the series, which follows the events in a small town after the dead come back to life. Steven Ogg, Phil Brooks (Cm Punk), Gia Sandhu, Katherine King So, Maia Jae, Nathan Dales, Mark Little, Glen Gould, Lara Jean Chorostecki, and Conrad Coates also appear in the series.

Syfy and Peacock have released the first teaser trailer for Revival and how this is going to be your next creepy summer binge series! With summer upon us, cable and streamers are ready to fill the gap of the networks with big shows. Syfy is, of course, ready to unleash its original series fare and has been working on Revival, one of the more unique comic book adaptations.

The graphic novel from Image Comics debuted in 2012, written by Tim Seeley with art by Mike Norton. It's been a long journey to making it into a TV show with showrunners Aaron B. Koontz and Luke Boyce. Koontz talked of it in 2024:

"The four-year journey to get here was tough, but Revival has been the most creatively fulfilling journey of my life. Yes, it is daunting and, at times, completely insane. But I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm at home in the chaos.

USA and Syfy announced premiere dates for the new season of Resident Alien starring Alan Tudyk and the series premiere of Revival. Fans will get to catch up with their favorite visitor from outer space when Resident Alien returns for season four on June 6, 2025 at 11pm Et/Pt on USA and Syfy. Revival, based on the Image Comics series, debuts on Syfy on June 12th at 10pm Et/Pt.

In addition to Tudyk, season four stars Sara Tomko, Alice Wetterlund, Corey Reynolds, Elizabeth Bowen, Levi Fiehler, Meredith Garretson, and Judah Prehn. NBCUniversal has announced that Resident Alien Season 4 will premiere on Friday, June 6 at 11 p.m. Et/Pt on both USA and Syfy, while the series premiere of the comic adaptation Revival debuts on Thursday, June 12 at 10 p.m. on Syfy.

The episodes from both series will be available to stream on Peacock one week after they air on USA and Syfy.

Based on the Dark Horse comics, Resident Alien follows a crash-landed alien named Harry and his life on planet Earth. The fourth season starts with Harry and his baby, Bridget, stuck in prison on the Grey Moonbase, while a shape-shifting Alien called a Mantid has taken over his body on Earth, passing himself off as the real Harry Vanderspeigle.

Harry manages to escape the Greys and arrives back on Earth for a showdown with the Mantid Alien, but soon finds he may not have what he needs to finish the job.

The dead come back to life in “Revival,” but this isn’t a zombie series. Syfy is bringing the comic book adaptation to the small screen, and the official trailer has arrived.

“Revival” premieres Thursday, June 12 at 10pm Et/Pt on Syfy. Each episode will head to Peacock the following week.

Almost a year after Resident Alien moved from Syfy to NBCUniversal sibling USA Network with a suspenseful Season 4 renewal, a premiere date has been set for said Season 4 and, surprisingly, it involves both the sci-fi comedy-drama’ new and old homes.

Phil Brooks, aka WWE Superstar Cm Punk, is going to take a short break from the ring to take on a role in a new movie. The latest casting for the pro wrestler and actor will see him soon return to the horror genre.

Per Variety, Cm Punk has been cast in a recurring role in Revival, an upcoming horror series in the works at Syfy. The series is based on Tim Seeley and Mike Norton's comic book of the same name previously published by Image Comics. Production has begun in New Brunswick, Canada, though it's not yet clear when Revival will debut on Syfy. The series was formally picked up in May.

As previously reported, the show is based on the Image Comics series by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton. Ogg will appear alongside previously announced cast members Melanie Scrofano, Romy Weltman, David James Elliott, and Andy McQueen.

First released by Image Comics in 2012, the horror series Revival quickly became a hit for creators Tim Seely and Mike Norton, nominated for three Harvey Awards in 2013. While it unfortunately lost out to the juggernaut that was Saga that year, the comics nevertheless became beloved by many who have long been wanting to see a live-action adaptation. Wait no longer, because production on Revival has begun, and its main cast has just been announced.

Per Variety, Revival will star Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp), Romy Weltman (Backstage), David James Elliott (Jag) and Andy McQueen (Outer Banks), all of whom will lead the original series for the SyFy network, which was created by showrunners Aaron B. Scrofano plays Dana, who is “constantly having to prove her worth to a stubborn sheriff, who just so happens to be her father.
