Now, it has been revealed that Doug Jones – who is best known for working with Guillermo del Toro on Mimic, Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Crimson Peak, and The Shape of Water – has joined the cast to play the corrupt Sheriff Earl.

Exclusive: Long-time Guillermo del Toro collaborator Doug Jones has joined the cast of Spyder Dobrofsky’s haunted forest horror picture The Weeping.

Based on an original screenplay by Dobrofsky the movie revolves around a group of friends who go camping in a protected Native American forest and unwittingly wake up an ancient witch that haunts all who trespass.

The cast also features Reggie Lee, Chase DeMoor, Isabelle Hahn, Jordan Kennedy, and Craig Ng. The production has unveiled a first image of Lee’s character being attacked by a demon.

The movie is produced by Giovanna Andolina under the Worlds Apart Banner.

The movie follows Dobrofsky’s 2024 psychological horror Down Below, featuring Oscar-nominee Eric Roberts, Bai Ling, Alexis Knapp as well as in the cast, and Intruder.

Any action fan, or even dedicated viewer of Corridor Crew's "Stuntmen React" series, should know the name Scott Adkins. Long before Adkins went all out for his role as German gangster Killa Harkan in "John Wick: Chapter 4," the British stunt performer and actor made a name for himself working as a stuntman for prominent Hong Kong action directors in the early 2000s. Not to be confused with the other horror film also known as The Accursed released last year - this one is about a demon taking over an old woman in a cabin. Elly is asked by a family friend to look after an elderly woman who is living in a remote cabin for a few days. She agrees, but soon discovers there is a demon hiding in the woman just waiting to break free. Uh oh. The horror film stars Mena Suvari, Sarah Grey, Sarah Dumont, Meg Foster, and Alexis Knapp. This looks like it does get super horrifying at the end when the demon wants out and is tired of waiting.

Exclusive: Screen Media has acquired North American rights to the horror film The Accursed, from director Kevin Lewis (Willy’s Wonderland), which stars Mena Suvari (American Beauty), Sarah Grey (Power Rangers), Meg Foster (They Live) and Alexis Knapp (Pitch Perfect). The Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment company has slated the title, which is currently in post-production, for a theatrical day-and-date release this fall.

The Accursed follows a young woman who is forced to return home following the death of her mother. Consumed by guilt and desperate to escape the haunting visions playing out in her head, she takes a temporary caregiver position for a comatose, old lady living alone in the woods. It does not take long before she realizes that not all is as it seems, and that the old lady harbors a demonic secret; an evil secret that the old lady’s daughter is intent on passing on.

Exclusive: Paris-based Elevate Artist Management, an emerging management and creative firm founded by Florent Lamy in 2015, is expanding with offices soon planned to open in Los Angeles and Dubai. Kevin Lewis will follow up “Willy’s Wonderland” by directing “The Accursed,” a new horror movie about demonic possession that its creators predict will be like if “Sam Raimi and Dario Argento had a love child and James Wan was its uncle.”

Mena Suvari (“American Beauty”), Sarah Grey (Netflix’s “The Order” and DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow”), and Alexis Knapp (“Pitch Perfect” franchise) head up the cast, which also includes Meg Foster (“The Lords of Salem”) and Sarah Dumont (“Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse”). “Willy’s Wonderland,” an action-comedy horror film, became a pandemic era favorite when it was released on VOD and in limited theatrical release last February.

Rob Kennedy (“Midnight Man”) penned the screenplay for “The Accursed.” According to the official description, it centers on a young woman who faces a horrifying past. When her estranged mother dies by suicide, Elly (Grey) is forced to return home from volunteering as a nurse abroad.

Exclusive: Charlotte McKinney, who stars opposite Alexis Knapp in the upcoming horror/thriller Phobias, has signed with APA.

McKinney was recently seen in the Columbia/Blumhouse action-thriller Fantasy Island, in Sam Macaroni’s Lionsgate comedy Guest House, and in Robert Schwartzman’s indie comedy The Argument. Additional film credits include starring opposite Leah Remini and Tiffany Haddish in Sony Crackle’s Mad Families, as well as featured roles in Baywatch, Flatliners, and First We Take Brooklyn. She also appears as a Guest Judge in an upcoming episode of the new truTV series, Fast Foodies.

McKinney became known internationally in 2015 when millions of viewers watched her ‘au naturel’ in the Carl’s Jr. “All Natural” Super Bowl Xlix commercial, which garnered 4.5 billion impressions in less than a year of its launch.

McKinney, who was previously with UTA, is also repped by Burn Entertainment.

Rebel Wilson and Adam Devine had a mini Pitch Perfect reunion at this year's Super Bowl. “Phobias,” a group-directed genre title about our worst fears, has sold North American distribution rights to Vertical Entertainment.

The anthology film features the directorial debuts of three women — Jess Varley, Maritte Go, and actor Camilla Belle. They’re joined by Chris von Hoffman (“Monster Party”) and Joe Sill (“Stray”).

The film follows five dangerous patients at a government testing facility, all suffering from extreme phobias. A crazed doctor attempts to weaponize these anxieties. Vertical is hoping for a theatrical release and a digital platform rollout in March.

“Phobias” stars Leonardo Nam (“Westworld”), Hana Mae Lee (“Pitch Perfect”), Alexis Knapp (“The Knocking”), Lauren Miller Rogen, Martina Garcia (“Narcos”) and Grammy winner Macy Gray. The directors collaborated on the script with Broderick Engelhard.

Co-writers and directors Matt Leslie and Stephen Smith have completed “The Knocking,” a bloody tale of a serial monogamist that shot for 19 days amid intense coronavirus safety protocols.

Shiloh Fernandez (“Burn”), Doug Jones (“The Shape of Water”), Alexis Knapp (“Pitch Perfect” series) and Ser’Darius Blain (“Jumanji”) lead the cast. Leslie and Smith previously collaborated as writers on the gritty thriller “Summer of ’84,” which played in the Sundance Film Festival’s Midnight section. This is their first feature as co-directors.

This month we’ve been talking about the middle of a trilogy while another trilogy finishing up hasn’t been getting a whole lot of attention, perhaps because it’s a rarity among trilogies in that it’s not a block buster action one or in the horror genre. It’s a comedy. But three’s not been the magic number for The Hangover or Meet The Parents (which came to a most unfunny conclusion with Meet The Fockers). Perhaps the quality that makes this trilogy even more unique will be its saving grace. You see it’s a musical comedy, well really a comedy set in the world of music. Acapella harmony competitions. Back in 2012 the producers of this under-marketed low-budget flick probably never thought that it would spawn two follow-ups. But here we are, over five years later, as the ladies warm up their pipes for Pitch Perfect 3.

The Barden Bellas have graduated and moved out of their dorms, and on with their lives—away from Barden University, away from their stewardess-chic aca-uniforms, and away from each other. For most of them, though, post-college life has not been all that peachy-keen. Pitch Perfect 3 opens with Beca (Anna Kendrick) in her apparent dream job as a music producer, though we quickly find out she loathes it—and for good reason. Just as Beca’s career implodes, Chloe (Brittany Snow)—an Og Barden Bella also hitting rock bottom—demands that they, along with Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson), attend the Barden Bellas a cappella reunion that evening.

At the reunion, we find that while Chloe aspires to be a veterinarian—her day job stinks. Pilot hopeful Cynthia (Ester Dean) has flunked her latest flight test. Aubrey (Anna Camp) hates her job as a camp director. Stacie (Alexis Knapp) is eight months pregnant.

Rebel Wilson attempted to sing classic Christmas songs using Google Translated lyrics on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

For "Deck the Halls" (translated: "The Homes Are Covered"), the Pitch Perfect 3 star sang, "the homes are covered with the bush; par alar alar, alar alar alar." Lines like "gay apparel" were translated literally to "untroubled garments."

Fallon also tried singing "Bells Make Sounds" to the tune of "Jingle Bells." And later, the pair duetted on "Walking in a Winter Wonderland," which translated to "I Ran Through the Land of Cold Unknowns.

Now graduated from college and out in the real world where it takes more than acappella to get by, the Bellas return in Pitch Perfect 3, the next chapter in the beloved series that has taken in more than $400 million at the global box office.

After the highs of winning the World Championships, the Bellas find themselves split apart and discovering there aren’t job prospects for making music with your mouth. But when they get the chance to reunite for an overseas Uso tour, this group of awesome nerds will come together to make some music, and some questionable decisions, one last time.
