Nick wrote a song about when his young mother found out she was pregnant with him. The song, "Can I Live?" was his thank-you to his mother for giving him life.

Graduated from Howard University in 2020 with a degree in criminology, with a minor in African studies.

Married Mariah Carey 2.5 months after dating her, but they'd been friends since 2005 when he presented her with a Teen Choice Award.

His eleventh-born child, son Zen, passed away at 5 months old from a cancerous brain tumor on December 5, 2021. On Cannon's show he thanked all of the doctors and nurses of the Orange County Children's Hospital for their help in treating Zen. He also stated that Zen's mother, Alyssa Scott, is the strongest woman he knows.
