Poll: Manoel de Oliveira 1908-2015

Portuguese film director Manoel de Oliveira passed away on April 2 of 2015. At an age of 106 years he is the only director in history whose career went from the silent films to the digital movies, he is also one of the most longevous filmmakers as he continued making films until his death.

Among his many recognitions he won two Golden Lions, five portuguese Golden Globes, a Chicago Film Festival Lifetime Achievement Award and a honorary Golden Palm.
