'It's a Shame': One-Punch Man Animation Director Criticizes Hit New Series
Anime fans are divided over controversial comments made by the action animation director of One-Punch Man about a brand-new anime that could become the next Solo Leveling. The director's comments come as One-Punch Man Season 3 is set to premiere this fall -- six years after the release of Season 2, which still divides fans to this day.
Kenichiro Aoki, a key animator and action animation director for One-Punch Man Season 2, commented on the latest episode of Chao Neng Lifang: Chaofan Pian, more commonly known as The Super Cube. This new Chinese animated action series is becoming a breakout hit of the spring 2025 season, thanks to its jaw-dropping animation. (A 180 of The Beginning After the End.) In particular, Aoki commented on a high-energy action sequence from Episode 7 that's nearly four minutes long. Although a majority of viewers were amazed by the visually stunning action sequence, Aoki wasn't exactly impressed.
