It's been a long time since fans of Pacific Rim were treated to some live-action Kaiju mayhem, but all that could be changing soon thanks to Amazon. The prequel series that was announced last year to be in development by Legendary Television has officially landed at Amazon MGM Studios, and together, the two behemoths will adapt the project for Prime Video. Pacific Rim is, of course, the 2013 Guillermo del Toro classic that saw humanity fighting off a barrage of Kaiju with the help of gigantic humanoid mechas known as Jaegers.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the Pacific Rim prequel series is helmed by Eric Heisserer through his Chronology banner as part of his overall first-look TV deal with Legendary.
