Oscar Piastri Takes Lead of F1 Driver Championship, Charles Leclerc Gets First Ferrari Podium of 2025
Oscar Piastri took the top spot on the podium once again after the 2025 Formula 1 Stc Saudi Arabian Grand Prix held at Jeddah Corniche Circuit on Sunday (April 20) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The 24-year-old McLaren F1 driver won his third race of the season, extending his multi-race streak this year. He is the only driver to have multiple wins in the 2025 season, so far.
Oscar also took the lead in the drivers championship for the first time in his career with 99 points, surpassing his teammate Lando Norris, who came in 4th place this weekend.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished in second place after a blunder in the first lap caused him to lose pole position to Oscar. He now holds third place in the drivers championship with just two points behind Lando, and he will certainly be vying to take the lead and defend his title.
