There have been bigger hits this year than The Chosen: Last Supper, but few projects have been as beloved. All three installments of the biblical franchise's fifth season are currently playing in theaters, and have generated a combined total of over $35 million so far. They've proven that there is an audience for television shows on the big screen, provided they're marketed to directly and emphatically. The series' third installment, The Chosen: Last Supper - Part 3, debuted this past weekend to solid box office reception and phenomenal audience response. However, it stands apart from its two predecessors in one critical way.

While both The Chosen: Last Supper - Part 1 and The Chosen: Last Supper - Part 2 continue to hold near-perfect 99% audience scores on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, Last Supper - Part 3 has now dropped to a 98% score. It debuted, like its predecessors, with a 99% rating, and grossed $6 million in its opening weekend.
