Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour director Sam Wrench is stepping into the hot seat for the remake of 1992’s The Bodyguard.
When a remake of The Bodyguard was first announced in 2021, it made a lot of sense. Having first been conceived in the 1970s as a vehicle for Diana Ross and Steve McQueen, it eventually become a hugely popular collaboration for Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner.
Much like A Star Is Born – which now boasts four distinct films – The Bodyguard is surely a film that Warner Bros can return to every 30 years and remake with a hot acting talent and a musical superstar.
