‘Alpha’ First Look – ‘Titane’ Director Julia Ducournau Spreads an Infectious Disease With New Movie

Headed to Cannes next month is the new movie from French filmmaker Julia Ducournau, who has made quite a splash already with her films Raw (2016) and Titane (2021).

Ducournau’s new movie is titled Alpha, described by The Hollywood Reporter as being “a 1980s-set shocker that follows an 11-year-old girl who is rejected by her classmates after it is rumored she has been infected with a new disease.” Check out a first look image above.

Neon has picked up the North American rights to the upcoming movie. Golshifteh Farahani (The Patience Stone) and Tahar Rahim (“The Serpent”) will star in Alpha.
