Every time I come across a muscular anime girl, I squeal out of excitement. So one can imagine what my reaction to Maki Oze from Fire Force must have been. Calling her simply a muscular anime girl is straight-up disrespectful, simply because there’s so much more to her. And, she needs appreciation for all of that, because the anime-manga series has failed to justify her potential.

Maki is a well-rounded character who is capable of both fighting and forming good relationships. There were many instances throughout the story where she could have played an important role. However, her potential is always stunted for laughs. It’s honestly disappointing to see her getting reduced to Fire Force’s biggest flaw.
