Did you ever want to see a more dramatic and realistic version of SpongeBob SquarePants? Well, whether you did or not, Saturday Night Live is giving it to you.
On this week’s SNL, the Please Don’t Destroy boys were greeted by host Mikey Madison, who walked into their office dressed as Squidward from the classic Nickelodeon cartoon. She pitched them SpongeBob as a dramedy: ‘Because when you think about it, what is SpongeBob really about?… It’s about a friend group navigating life in their early 20s.”
