‘Impractical Jokers’ Star Joe Gatto Cancels Comedy Tour, Enters Treatment Facility Amid Sexual Assault Allegations
Former “Impractical Jokers” star Joe Gatto canceled his “Let’s Get Into It” comedy tour on Wednesday, sharing that he’s voluntarily checking into an in-patient treatment facility amid recent sexual assault and harassment allegations leveled at the comic from two women.
“Having taken some time to reflect, I’ve decided to voluntarily enter an in-patient program to continue working on myself,” Gatto said in a statement. “I just want to thank my friends, fans and especially my family for all of their support — never more so than over the last few days.”
The comedian also canceled the remaining dates of his “Let’s Get Into It” comedy tour, according to exclusive reporting from People. The 48-year-old was next due in San Antonio, Texas, on Thursday.
