WNBA Star Cameron Brink Says She’s ‘Icked Out’ By Ad For Men To Practice With L.A. Sparks: ‘I Hope They Are All Gay!’

On Monday’s episode of Cameron Brink‘s podcast Straight to Cam, the Sparks forward shared that she was “really picked out by the potential new practice players.”
On March 9, the Sparks X account advertised tryouts for male practice players, asking fans, “Do you have what it takes?” The flyer featured Brink and her teammates Kelsey Palm, Rick Jackson and Dearica Hamby.
WNBA and NCAA women’s basketball teams regularly practice against male players – a custom Brink did not take issue with – but Brink was displeased with the gym’s open call for tryouts, noting the responses the flyer had received and expressing concern about the type of players that were attracted to the ad.
She declared, “All the comments are just completely out of pocket.”
Though Brink kept her tone light and casual, she made it clear that her feelings on the matter were legitimate causes for concern.
