Scream 3's infamous Ghostface resoundingly met his maker at the hands of Neve Campbell and company in the classic 2000 film, so it came as a surprise to many horror fans when the news broke that Scott Foley would return for director Kevin Williamson’s Scream 7. In fact, Foley himself is as confused as the fandom is when it comes to how his character, Roman Bridger, will return from the dead.

Regardless, the Felicity and Scandal actor tried to coyly answer that burning question during a new interview while appearing on Good Morning America by saying:

"That's a great question, and I'm willing to take a poll here and someone can explain it to me, because I don't know how it works out. Yeah, my character, I was the — Spoiler Alert 25 years ago — I was the killer in 'Scream 3', and he was brutally taken to town and killed.
