‘Castlevania’ Creator’s Vision for ‘Devil May Cry’ Can Turn Dante Into the Next Alucard of Netflix
After seven long years after the official announcement, the Devil May Cry anime is finally on its way. With Adi Shankar of Castlevania fame at the helm, there is no doubt that the adaptation will be one of the best game adaptations in recent times.

The question is whether the adaptation can give Dante the treatment that made Castlevania’s Alucard one of Netflix’s most well-written characters. There is no exaggeration in saying that Alucard was so well-written that fans were tuning in to watch Castlevania: Nocturne solely cause he was in it.
When we look at it, in a way Dante is as cool as Alucard. He is stylish, cocky, and an excellent mercenary, what is not to like? So, could Dante of Devil May Cry be the next Alucard and carry the show on his own?
