McDonald's Finally 'Shakes It Up' With Hatsune Miku in First Official Reveal

After teasing its upcoming collaboration with an initial post nearly a month ago, McDonald's is now running a limited-time campaign featuring Hatsune Miku in celebration of March 9, aka Hatsune Miku Day.
In February, McDonald's Japan announced a special collaboration with a post on X (formerly Twitter) showing a silhouette of what was very obviously Hatsune Miku. It was no surprise to fans just a day later when McDonald's posted a clean image of Miku to announce the collaboration between their "Shaka Shaka" fries and Hatsune Miku, joking that it would not involve anything green onion-flavored -- a nod to the food item most commonly associated with Miku. Instead, the collaboration will see McDonald's Japan featuring its new "Shaka Shaka" flavors, as well as a new potato fries and chicken nuggets ("nage") set. The official video, posted today, can be seen below.
