Pamela Bach, an American actor who appeared on several episodes of “Baywatch” and was married to its star David Hasselhoff for 16 years, died Wednesday at her residence in Los Angeles, Calif. The county medical examiner disclosed the cause of death was suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Bach was 62.

A screen actor for more than five decades, Bach’s first credit came as a child actor in 1973, with a guest appearance on “The Young and the Restless.” Her most extensive tenure on a series was “Baywatch,” playing various roles across 14 episodes through the ’90s.

Bach’s time on “Baywatch” began shortly after she married series lead Hasselhoff; the pair had met during Bach’s guest appearance on “Nightrider” in the mid-’80s.
