Hunter Schafer spoke out after the gender on her passport was changed due to President Donald Trump‘s newly implemented policies.
The 26-year-old Euphoria actress is trans and said that her official documents have marked her as female since she was a teen. However, she had to have her passport renewed after it was stolen.
When she got it back, the gender had been changed to male, likely as a result of an executive order that the president passed that declared there were only two genders.
Describing the situation as a “harsh reality check,” she addressed the change and what she learned.
