The animation company behind Big Mouthis setting out to make another sort of coming-of-age television series, but this time with a decidedly horrific bent. The company, Titmouse, is developing an animated series based on Image Comics' Nights, an ongoing comic currently releasing its second installment of adolescence, supernatural style.

In a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, it is said that the comic book's writer and artist — Wyatt Kennedy and Luigi Formisano, respectively — will be involved in the animation adaptation, and always envisioned the series as such rather than, say, something more live-action in nature. Titmouse hopes to keep and evoke the animation style of the comic's late '90s and early 2000s vibes, while also blending anime and indie influences as well.
