Netflix’s slate of under-the-radar action movies has delivered another brutal success with Aftermath, an action thriller that has been previously compared to Die Hard by some. The film arrived on Netflix earlier this week following its blink-and-you-miss-it limited theatrical release in November 2024, and immediately jumped up to #2 in the movie chart, seemingly bringing another blistering thrill ride to the streamer to follow in the footsteps of 2024’s Rebel Ridge and Carry-On.

Aftermath stars Dylan Sprouse and Mason Gooding, with Patrick Lussier in the director’s chair. The synopsis of the movie reads: “Trapped on Boston's Tobin Bridge after a bomb explodes, a former Army Ranger must use his elite training to save his sister and fellow hostages from a group of vengeful ex-military contractors led by an unhinged war criminal.”
