It’s time to go back to Little House on the Prairie. The Ingalls family and the rest of Walnut Grove are coming to Netflix.

The original Little House ran from 1974-1983, and anyone who grew up in that era can attest to its popularity. The show was based on the books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Melissa Gilbert famously played Laura, affectionately known as “Half-Pint,” along with Michael Landon as “Pa,” Karen Grassle as “Ma,” and Melissa Sue Anderson as Mary. The series depicted a hard-working family getting through life in the American Midwest in the late 1800s.
The reboot will be based on the third book in the series. Trip Friendly, the son of the original show’s producer, Ed Friendly, will be the Executive Producer. Rebecca Sonnenshine is the Showrunner. No details or date for the reboot have been released yet.
