Andie MacDowell Explains Why She Left Hollywood & Moved to South Carolina, Talks Life as an Empty Nester
Andie MacDowell decided to move away from Hollywood and she’s now living in South Carolina as an empty nester!
The 66-year-old actress, who currently stars in the Hallmark Channel series The Way Home, opened up about her new life while appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show.
“I’m happier now than I have been in a long time,” Andie said.

She added, “I moved to South Carolina, and I really, I’m taking good care of myself. It took me forever. Once my kids left, I felt this huge void in my life, because they were so important to me.”
If you didn’t know, Andie‘s kids are actress Margaret Qualley and musician Rainey Qualley.
“Margaret really was kinda telling me I was supposed to be having the time of my life, but I wasn’t,” she said (via People). “But now I am.
