Tadashi Kubou's isekai fantasy light novel series The Water Magician (known as Mizuzokusei no Mahoutsukai in Japan) will receive a TV anime adaptation scheduled to premiere in July 2025. The anime's official website and X (formerly Twitter) opened today, revealing a first trailer and a teaser visual. The Water Magician Anime 1st Trailer Teaser Visual Ayumu Murase (Shoyo Hinata in Haikyu!! ) is cast as the protagonist Ryo, alongside Kazuki Ura (Yoichi Isagi in Blue Lock ) as Abel and Kaede Hondo (Sakura Minamoto in Zombie Land Saga ) as Sera. Hideyuki Satake ( Delicious in Dungeon assistant director) serves as director, alongside series composition writer Jun Kumagai ( Hamatora ) and character designer Haruka Otsuzumi ( Love Live! Superstar!! episode animation director). Typhoon Graphics and Wonderland will both work on the anime production.
