Jeff Baena, ‘The Little Hours’ and ‘Spin Me Round’ Director, Dead at 47

Updated: Jeff Baena, the writer/director of films including “Spin Me Round” and “The Little Hours,” has died at age 47, IndieWire confirmed.
The filmmaker behind “Life After Beth,” “Joshy,” and “Horse Girl” also co-wrote “I Heart Huckabees” with David O. Russell. Reports of his death began to surface early Saturday, January 4. As per Deadline, Baena’s official cause of death according to a report by the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner was suicide.
Baena was married to actor and producer Aubrey Plaza, who starred in the zombie comedy “Life After Beth,” “The Little Hours,” and “Spin Me Round,” Baena’s final film. IndieWire reached out to Plaza’s representatives, who have no additional comment at this time.
