According to reporting by TV Line, the show is based on a novel of the same name by author Reverend Richard Coles. It’ll be directed by David Moore for Acorn TV.
Matthew is set to bring Canon Daniel Clement to life in the show, which will run for six episodes. In it, he plays a church official who attempts to install a bathroom in the church.
However, all plans are called into question when “a man is found stabbed to death in the back of the church.”
