Filmmaker Steven Spielberg has been involved in controversies despite being one of the most revered and beloved directors in Hollywood. The Jaws filmmaker reportedly refused to comment on the Harvey Weinstein scandal days after it broke out, claiming that the event he was at was not about the scandal.
While the two never worked, Spielberg reportedly almost came close to being partners with the disgraced Hollywood mogul. Weinstein claimed just months before his damning exposé was published by the New York Times that he and Spielberg had spoken about producing the Oscars ceremony but it never materialized.
