The artwork of Yukinobu Tatsu in Dandadan is some of the best we’ve seen in the manga industry recently. It’s hard to replicate the visuals exactly but Science Saru has managed to bring the manga to life in the best way they can. No anime will be a 1:1 adaptation from its source material but that also doesn’t mean the comparisons between them aren’t going to happen.

Dandadan is especially challenging in delivering a 1:1 adaptation, especially when Yukinobu Tatsu has incredible attention to detail. Every panel has so much going on but comes together harmoniously. Science Saru, on the other hand, had to cut down a lot of those details, even sacrificing some fun references Tatsu has thrown in.
