His dilemma between his Yellowstone family and his own at the Broken Rock Reservation forms a bulk of his character arc.

While Kayce seems to be stuck between his loyalties and the place that seems to be cursed to him, actor Luke Grimes is reportedly more free-flowing. After moving from LA to Austin during the pandemic, Grimes and his wife reportedly traveled around the country and settled in Montana on a whim.
