Peacock Discusses Potential Third ‘Love Island’ Spin-Off with ITV America
Peacock is currently in talks with ITV America about launching a third spin-off of the popular reality show ‘Love Island,’ according to David George, the head of ITV America.
This move highlights Peacock’s increasing relevance, especially after Comcast decided to retain the streaming service while offloading some of its cable and news networks.
ITV America has been instrumental in producing ‘Love Island Games’ and ‘Love Island: All Stars’ for Peacock, in addition to managing the original U.S. version of the show.
The original ‘Love Island,’ crafted by ITV Studios, continues to enjoy success internationally, including ongoing broadcasts in the UK.
David George didn’t provide many details on the new spin-off, but he mentioned that the existing versions on Peacock have been performing well.
