Even though James Gunn and Peter Safran have said many times that Superman will officially start the Dcu, the cinematic universe will technically begin on December 5, 2024, with the release of Creature Commandos.

Creature Commandos is an adult animated TV series based on the DC Comics team of the same name. It will be the first show in the Dcu and follows a black ops team of monsters assembled by Amanda Waller. All seven episodes are written by James Gunn, who is also the showrunner, with Yves “Balak” Bigerel as the supervising director.
