I know Singed (originally named Dr. Reveck) is the “bad guy” in the Arcane universe, but he is the only one who seems to have his head straight about the way his world functions. I couldn’t relate more to his words when he said that no one in power is actually innocent. The inevitable nature of power is corruption and moral decay. And the greed for it can even turn the most sane human into a savage beast. While working on the Hexcore, Viktor had realized the danger it could unleash upon the world and therefore had asked Jayce to destroy it, because he couldn’t bring himself to do it. It turned out, Jayce remembered the promise he had once made to his best friend and swore to him that he wouldn’t fail him again. He arrived at Viktor’s commune to finish what the two had started together.
