Character deaths are always a major part of a story, and it seems that Marvel has finally killed off Eddie Brock's Venom. At the near climax of the Venom War story, Eddie has to be stopped, and surprisingly, the person to make the choice to finally end Eddie's time as Venom is none other than his son, Dylan Brock.

Venom War #4 by Al Ewing and Iban Coello features the death of the most famous host of the Venom symbiote. In this shocking issue, Eddie Brock takes on the mantle of Anti-Venom once again to destroy the Zombiote threat plaguing New York City.

While Eddie is ultimately successful, the tactic is turned back on him as Carnage manages to infect Anti-Venom. Starting to go mad with homicidal rage, Dylan Brock has no choice but to put his father down, ending the reign of the King in Black.
