When books are being adapted into a live-action medium, it is only natural that some changes will be made to better tell a story. When the Harry Potter films first began to take shape, it was only natural that a similar approach was taken with them. Although J.K. Rowling made most of the decisions that were taken in the films, some choices ended up being quite controversial among the fandom.

Be it Dumbledore’s reaction to Harry putting his name in the Goblet of Fire or Ginny Weasley’s character, certain changes have been poorly received by its viewers over the years.
