‘Before’ Episode 3 Recap & Ending Explained: Did Eli Kill Lynn?

Last week, the legendary Billy Crystal, who is largely known for playing comedic roles, stepped into a “serious” one for a miniseries executive produced by him, titled Before. Helmed by Sarah Thorp, the first two episodes introduced us to Eli, a child psychologist who was reeling from the loss of his wife, Lynn. He was going to a therapist, but that wasn’t helping him a lot. So, he was convinced that he needed to hang up his boots because an emotionally unstable psychologist would do more harm than good. But that was where he came across the curious case of Noah. Initially, Eli showed interest in Noah because the distressed kid randomly showed up at his house and started to display some symptoms of grave mental trauma. Eli also empathized with the kid’s stepmother, Denise, who was desperately trying to give Noah a life that she never got.
