Days of Our Lives fans are going to be shocked to learn that Brandon Barash is leaving the show after five years as Stefan.
The 45-year-old actor’s final episode on the Peacock soap opera series will air on Monday, October 28, but he’s known about his exit for a very long time.

The actor says he was told Stefan’s departure was purely for the storyline.
“I knew exactly what was happening as soon as I was called up to [the boss’] office,” Brandon said. “And she said, ‘Look, this is not my doing. I don’t like it. And this is no reflection on you or your abilities. You’re very talented. We know your work ethic is very high, but it’s just where we’re deciding to take the character.
